Kathleen S. Hunsaker

Kath­leen S. Hun­saker, 70, of Colum­bus, died at 10:22 p.m. Fri­day (Aug. 3, 2012) at her res­i­dence in Columbus.

Born Thurs­day, Jan. 22, 1942, in Lima, , she was the daugh­ter of the late Glenn Allen and Helen (Moor­man) Allen.

Kath­leen mar­ried John N. Hun­saker on July 30, 1959. He sur­vives in Colum­bus. She had worked for Baker Vet­eri­nar­ian Hos­pi­tal as an Vet­eri­nar­ian Assis­tant and also Fisher Cheese. She was a mem­ber of the Cal­vary Holi­ness Church in Colum­bus. She was a mis­sion­ary in the Turks and Caicos Islands, BWI. She loved being a pastor’s wife, being a mis­sion­ary and loved serv­ing the Lord with all of her heart.

Sur­viv­ing are two sons, Keith (Michele) Hun­saker of Wapakoneta, and Cary (Robin) Hun­saker of Delaware; three daugh­ters, Sher­rie (Dar­ren) Smith of Card­ing­ton, Jonna (Kelly) Sells of Don­aldsville, and Mer­rill (Alex) Pow­ell of Lon­don, Eng­land; 18 grand­chil­dren; six great-grandchildren; three broth­ers, David (Linda) Allen of San Anto­nio, Texas, John (Kerry) Allen of Lima, and Greg (Barb) Allen of Lima; and a sis­ter, Bev­erly (Steve) Scheid of Granger, Ind.

She was pre­ceded in death by a daugh­ter, Maria Hun­saker, and brother, Terry Allen.

Vis­i­ta­tion will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tues­day, Aug. 7, 2012 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home and from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednes­day, Aug. 8, 2012 before the service.

Funeral ser­vice will be at 10 a.m. on Wednes­day, Aug. 8, 2012 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy McCoy offi­ci­at­ing. Inter­ment will be in Ward Ceme­tery, Lima, OH.
