William F. Cox
William F. Cox, 75, of McArthur, peacefully passed away Thursday (Aug. 23, 2012) at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
He was born Feb. 18, 1937, in Delaware, son of the late Frederick L. and Lucille Easton Cox. William was married to Luretta Greene Cox, who survives. He formerly worked for Double M Construction in Jackson.
William is survived by his sons, Larry E. (Linda) Cox of Lancaster and Jerry L. Cox of McArthur; a daughter, Ellen K. (Harold) Ratliff of Lancaster; grandson, Christopher (Sarah) Ratliff of Lancaster; a great-grandson, Will H. Ratliff; brothers, Donald (Heidi) Cox of Georgia, Kenneth (Patty) Cox and David (Brenda) Cox both of Delaware; sisters, Jane Paulsen of California and Ruth Banner of Westerville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Shaun Ratliff; a brother, Ronald Cox; and sisters, Wilma Sloan and Rosemary Greene.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with the Rev. Shawn Banker officiating. Interment will be in Hixon Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
