Allen W. McKitrick

Allen W. McK­itrick, 82, of Edi­son and for­merly of Delaware died Thurs­day (Sept. 13, 2012) in River­side Methodist Hospital.

He was born July 20, 1930, in Cir­cleville to William and Laura (Tigner) McK­itrick. He was a retired mechanic for Flxble Inc. He proudly served his coun­try in the Korean War and was a life­time mem­ber of the V.F.W. and a mem­ber of the Red­men Club. Allen was a gar­dener who enjoyed rais­ing toma­toes and was a won­der­ful mechanic, lov­ing father, grand­fa­ther and friend.

He is sur­vived by his wife, June; his chil­dren, Patty (Andra) Banks, Pam Barry, Michael (Mary), David, Jackie (Bill) Fink and Mark; a step­son, James Wof­ford; 11 grand­chil­dren and eight great-grandchildren; two sis­ters, Sally Chaf­fin of Cir­cleville and Barb (Larry) Quin­cel of Colum­bus, Ga; and a brother, Sonny McK­itrick of Las Vegas.

Vis­i­ta­tion will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sun­day at the Robin­son Funeral Home. Grave­side ser­vices will be held at 11 a.m. Mon­day in Oller Ceme­tery. Delaware County Vet­er­ans Asso­ci­a­tion will con­duct full mil­i­tary honors.
