April Harris

April “Fight­ing Back Again” Har­ris, 55, of Delaware, lost the phys­i­cal fight to can­cer but won her spir­i­tual bat­tle Mon­day (Sept. 3, 2012) sur­rounded by her lov­ing fam­ily and friends.

Memo­r­ial ser­vices will be held Sat­ur­day, Sept. 8, at Sec­ond Bap­tist Church, 57 Ross St., Delaware. Fam­ily will receive vis­i­tors from 1 to 2 p.m. and the memo­r­ial will start promptly at 2 p.m. Join the fam­ily in cel­e­brat­ing April N. Har­ris’ life at Ross Street Park (directly across from the church) by wear­ing pink and pur­ple cloth­ing in sup­port of the cause.

Memo­r­ial con­tri­bu­tions can be given at 134 S. Franklin St., Delaware, OH 43015.

   I am truly sad and angry at myself for not being in touch to have heard this earlier.…and I should check this face­book more often..I just saw this like 15 min­utes ago.…I would have came home if I had of known.…April was my friend, my close friend.…we had good times back in the day…I loved her. We always liked the same guys and the last time I spoke to her, she was doing so much better…I had no idea…I can’t tell you how much I wish I could be there to say good­bye to my friend.

   Bobbi Jo, Skip, Bruce and who am I miss­ing? I am think­ing of you all and I know it’s a great loss to your fam­ily as it is to me. I can hear her now.….love you gurl.

   Sorry I can’t get home but glad I was able to visit a cou­ple weeks ago to say good­bye. God under­stands your sor­row, and He will stand beside you through the hurt­ing and the heal­ing. Your Fam­ily has my Deep­est Sympathy!

   My prayers and thoughts are with you. I am on a busi­ness trip and will not be able to attend the memo­r­ial ser­vices, how­ever, she was a friend and I will miss her.
