Florence Marie (Boots) Schola

Flo­rence Marie (Boots) Schola, 86, for­merly a long­time res­i­dent of Pow­ell, died Sat­ur­day (Sept. 15, 2012). She was born March 4, 1926.

She is sur­vived by her daugh­ter, Patri­cia A. and favorite son-in-law, Ralph E. Golden of New Albany; golden grand­sons, Stephen of Argyle, Texas, William (Heidi) of Pataskala and Matthew (Brid­get) of John­stown; “spe­cial grand­daugh­ter,” Brandy (David) Hei­s­tand of Colum­bus; great-grandchildren, Whit­ney (Chris) York of New Jer­sey, Zachary and Nico­las of Argyle, Texas, Miranda and Brit­ney of John­stown and Tay­lour and Kaleigh of Pataskala. Her fam­ily and friends will miss her quick wit, “upbeat” atti­tude and lov­ing nature.

She was pre­ceded in death by hus­band, William F.; and son Gre­gory A. Schola.

A pri­vate fam­ily ser­vice and Inter­ment with no call­ing hours will take place.

In lieu of flow­ers, do some­thing nice for some­one today as “Mom” would have done or con­tribute to East­view United Methodist Church Prayer Room, 1045 Ross Road, Colum­bus, OH 43227, in her mem­ory. Prayer is a pow­er­ful thing for every­one and every sit­u­a­tion.
