Janet Childers Banks

Janet Childers Banks, 66, of Delaware died Mon­day (Sept. 10, 2012) in Win­ter­song Village.

She was born March 27, 1946, in South Charleston, W.Va., the daugh­ter of Paul and Leona (Spears) Childers.

Janet is sur­vived by two sons, Schon (Patty) of Ash­ley and John (Shar­ron) of St. Marys, W.Va.; four daugh­ters, Melissa War­ren (Bill) of New Port Beach, Calif., Beth Mer­ri­field of Cas­tle Hayne, of N.C., Paula (Brent) Swan­son of Murfrees­boro, Tenn., and Bar­bara Hast­ings of Cam­bridge; five step­daugh­ters; 20 grand­chil­dren; one great-grandson; three sis­ters, Wilma Tincher of Hur­ri­cane, W.Va., Vir­ginia Metz of Col­orado Springs, Colo., and Carol Long, Galt, Calif.; and two broth­ers, Jerry Lacy of Weeki Wachee, Fla., and Randy Barker of Logan, W.Va.

She was pre­ceded in death by her hus­band, John Banks; her father, Paul Childers; and her moth­ers, Leona Spices and Helen Simmons.

Grave­side ser­vices will be at 2:30 p.m. Fri­day in King­wood Memo­r­ial Park with the Rev. Deb­o­rah Pat­ter­son offi­ci­at­ing. Robin­son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
