Lucille Stone

Lucille Stone, 90, of Colum­bus, passed away on Tues­day (Sept. 25, 2012) at For­est Hills Care Center.

She was born Nov. 9, 1921 in Colum­bus to Daniel and Ruth (Hall) Wede­meyer. Lucille was a life­time mem­ber of Sweet Ade­lines. Spe­cial thanks to com­pas­sion­ate neigh­bors Pete and Marge Russell.

She is sur­vived by son, Don Stone; daugh­ter, Marla Gilpin; six grand­chil­dren; 12 great-grandchildren; and sis­ter, Lois (Wede­meyer) Wolfe.

She was pre­ceded in death by hus­band, Dana “Pete” Stone; son and daughter-in-law, Max and Char­lotte (Uhl) Stone; grand­daugh­ter, Jen­nifer Weigand; sis­ter, Retha Shep­herd; and brother, Ver­non Wedemeyer.

A funeral ser­vice will be at 9 a.m. Sat­ur­day, Sept. 29, at Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home, 515 High St., Wor­thing­ton, where fam­ily will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Fri­day. Bur­ial will be at Oak Grove Ceme­tery in Delaware.
