Francis G. Hooley, 96, of Delaware died Saturday (July 28, 2012) in Delaware Court Health Care Center.
He was born May 28, 1916, in Boston to Morgan and Mary (Fitzgerald) Hooley. He proudly served his country in the Navy during World War II. He was a retired foreman for Ford Motor Co. in Lorain. He was a resident of Sheffield Lake before coming to Delaware 1995. Francis was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; daughters, Patricia (Charles) Norris of Elyria and Mary Davis of Delaware; sons, Greg (Gerri) of Canton and Joseph of Berea; nine grandchildren, Benjamin (Bhumika) Norris, Timothy (Kelly) Norris, Tyson Davis, Christopher (Jennifer) Hooley, Katelyn Davis, Patrick (Laura) Hooley, Kelsey Davis, Nate (Kelly) Adessi and Tasha Adessi; and one great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Robinson Funeral Home with a prayer vigil at 5 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. James Black as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery where the Delaware County Veteran Assoc. will conduct military honors.
