How much longer can horse racing survive in Delaware,looking at programs from around the country with purses from 20k to 1.5 millon,purses on Tuesday started at 18 hundred dollars,the stand were less than 20percent full,on thursday there was a high number of box seats that went unsold and empty or ocupied by people who didn’t pay for them,and that opens a new can of worms for those who do pay for boxes year after year.The second leg of a triple crown might be better served in a more upscale track,ie’ scioto downs,bigger purses,more people.
The fair has much more to offer than is presented in this poll. The arts and crafts, the animal shows, the music entertainment, the antique tractors, and many more. This poll seems to focus on so little when the fair offers so much.
