Esther M. Lazelle
Esther M. Lazelle, 93, of Delaware, passed away Wednesday (Oct. 3, 2012) in the Hospice Room of Grady Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Westfield Township on July 13, 1919, to the late Henry and Lilly M. (Long) Wilt and was a lifelong area resident. While working as a setter at Ranco Controls, she met her husband-to-be, Marion E. “Bud” Lazelle. She and Bud were married on Oct. 1, 1955, recently celebrating their 57th anniversary.
A homebody, she possessed many wonderful qualities. She was good natured and always positive. An aspiring artist at heart, she enjoyed painting in the medium of oils, creating detailed landscapes. She enjoyed winters spent in Florida and loved all animals. Cooking was one her specialties, never from a recipe it was always by a pinch of that and a dab of this. The sweet taste of her amazing home baked pies will long be remembered.
She leaves to treasure her memory her beloved husband, Bud; nephew, Dick (Linda) Browning of Delaware; as well as a host of dear friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Irma M. Browning on Sept. 17, 1984.
