Pauline Ruth Shellito, 93, of Delaware passed away unexpectedly on Monday (June 18, 2012) at Grady Memorial Hospital.
She was born on Feb. 14, 1919, in Robins to Homer and Elsie (Johnson) Lowry. Pauline was a graduate of Byesville High and then she went on to attend Bliss Business College. She was a member of Liberty Presbyterian Church, a volunteer and member at the Delaware Senior Center and several bridge clubs. Pauline enjoyed making lovely quilts, sewing and water color painting.
She is survived by her three sons, Brad (Linda) Shellito of Ostrander, Timmy (Marilyn) Shellito of Hollister, Calif., and Perry (Nancy) Shellito of Hudson; six grandchildren, Nick (Lisa) Shellito, Lori (Brian) Gecina, Brian (Danielle) Shellito, Cindy Shellito, Ryan Shellito and Julie (Chris) Bates; and five great-grandchildren, Layla and Christian Shellito, Cameryn and Chloe Bates and Brooke Gecina.
Pauline was preceded in death by two husbands, Lloyd Robert Shellito and Walter Prusak; and two sisters, Helen Norman and Margaret Brown.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 on Monday, June 25, with a memorial service at 4 p.m. at the Snyder- Rodman Funeral Center (1510 W. William St., at Valley Side Drive, Delaware).
Memorial contributions may be made in Pauline’s name to the Delaware County Council for Older Adults (800 Cheshire Road, Suite B, Delaware, OH 43015).
