Marsena Scott

Marsena Scott, 92, of Pow­ell and for­merly of Delaware died Wednes­day (Oct. 24, 2012) in Wil­low Brook Chris­t­ian Village.

She was born Aug. 15, 1920, in Delaware to Gail and Nel­lie (Harsh) Rus­sell. She grad­u­ated from Rad­nor High School and was a life­time res­i­dent of Delaware County. She was mem­ber of the West Berlin Pres­by­ter­ian Church and a mem­ber of the John Ray Sun­day School Class. She was a for­mer a co-owner of the Tan­gle­wood Golf Course for 38 years and enjoyed spend­ing her win­ters in Braden­ton, Fla.

She is sur­vived by a son, Jay of Pow­ell; a sis­ter, Margie Hough of Delaware; and many nieces and nephews.

She was pre­ceded in death by a son, Robert in 1989; her hus­band, Ralph in 1999; two sis­ters, Mar­garet and Martha Jane; and two broth­ers, Robert and Dick.

Vis­i­ta­tion will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sun­day at the Robin­son Funeral Home. Funeral ser­vices will be at 11 a.m. Mon­day at the West Berlin Pres­by­ter­ian Church with the Rev. Jen­nifer Hin­kle offi­ci­at­ing. Bur­ial will fol­low in Cheshire Cemetery.
