Paul Ernest Dunlap
Paul Ernest Dunlap, 88, of Delaware, passed away Tuesday evening (Oct. 30, 2012) at Grady Memorial Hospital.
He was born March 28, 1924, in Delaware County to Lewis Elmer and Etta Eliza (Webb) Dunlap.
He was a welder for Hughes-Keenan Manufacturing and later was the owner of D and M Body Shop, Delaware. In his younger years, he enjoyed bowling and hunting but more recently enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 62 years, Violet (Jackson); daughters, Barbara Morrow and Carol (David) Stephens of Delaware; four grandchildren, Scott (Dawn) Stephens, Ginny (Matt) Shuster, Paul (Tabitha) Morrow and Frank Stephens; three great-grandchildren, Kilee, Logan and Cole; brother, Floyd Dunlap of Delaware; sisters, Albina Law of Delaware and Betty Sartwell of Grove City; numerous nieces and nephews; three brothers-in-law, Auvil (Marilyn) Jackson of Powell, Eugene Jackson of Delaware and Charles Hoffman of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Asa; two sisters, Darlene Rodgers and Helen Veley; and two sisters-in-law, Reba Hoffman and Edith Jackson.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 1510 W. William St. at Valleyside Drive, Delaware. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery.
