Mary R. Dinovo
Mary R. Dinovo, 90, of Delaware, passed away Thursday morning (Nov. 1, 2012) at Willowbrook at Delaware Run.
She was born Oct. 1, 1922 in Columbus to Joseph J. and Josephine (Dattalo) Dattilo. She was a homemaker who in her younger years had worked for Lazarus Department Stores and State Auto Insurance Company, both of Columbus. She was a faithful member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Delaware, who enjoyed ceramics, crafts and decorating for Christmas. She was very family oriented and especially loved spending time with her family and big family get together’s.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of almost 66 years, Michael; daughter, Diane (Terry) Saunders of Delaware; three sons, Mike Jr. (Saundra) of Delaware, Rick (Paula) of Delaware and Mark (Rhonda) of Lexington, S.C.; 11 grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren; two brothers, Joseph Dattilo and Anthony “Tony” (Mary) Dattilo, all of Columbus; sister, Roseanne Morock of Ft. Myers, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 1510 W. William St. at Valleyside Drive, Delaware, where a vigil of prayer service will be held at 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 82 E. William St., Delaware with the Rev. Fr. James Black and the Rev. Fr. Tony Dinovo officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. The St. Mary Bereavement Committee will then host a reception in the Snyder-Rodman Community Room following the services at graveside.
