Mary R. Dinovo

Mary R. Dinovo, 90, of Delaware, passed away Thurs­day morn­ing (Nov. 1, 2012) at Wil­low­brook at Delaware Run.

She was born Oct. 1, 1922 in Colum­bus to Joseph J. and Josephine (Dat­talo) Dat­tilo. She was a home­maker who in her younger years had worked for Lazarus Depart­ment Stores and State Auto Insur­ance Com­pany, both of Colum­bus. She was a faith­ful mem­ber of St. Mary Catholic Church, Delaware, who enjoyed ceram­ics, crafts and dec­o­rat­ing for Christ­mas. She was very fam­ily ori­ented and espe­cially loved spend­ing time with her fam­ily and big fam­ily get together’s.

Left to cher­ish her mem­ory is her hus­band of almost 66 years, Michael; daugh­ter, Diane (Terry) Saun­ders of Delaware; three sons, Mike Jr. (Saun­dra) of Delaware, Rick (Paula) of Delaware and Mark (Rhonda) of Lex­ing­ton, S.C.; 11 grand­chil­dren, two step­grand­chil­dren, 11 great-grandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren; two broth­ers, Joseph Dat­tilo and Anthony “Tony” (Mary) Dat­tilo, all of Colum­bus; sis­ter, Roseanne Morock of Ft. Myers, Fla.; and numer­ous nieces and nephews.

The fam­ily will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sun­day, Nov. 4, at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Cen­ter, 1510 W. William St. at Val­ley­side Drive, Delaware, where a vigil of prayer ser­vice will be held at 2 p.m. Mass of Chris­t­ian Bur­ial will be held at 10 a.m. Mon­day, Nov. 5, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 82 E. William St., Delaware with the Rev. Fr. James Black and the Rev. Fr. Tony Dinovo offi­ci­at­ing. Bur­ial will fol­low in St. Mary Ceme­tery. The St. Mary Bereave­ment Com­mit­tee will then host a recep­tion in the Snyder-Rodman Com­mu­nity Room fol­low­ing the ser­vices at graveside.
