Vivian M. Swisher
Vivian M. Swisher, 81, passed away on Wednesday (Oct. 31, 2012) at the Select Specialty Hospital in Columbus.
She is now sleeping in Christ awaiting his literal Second Coming. She was born May 25, 1931, in Delaware to the late Roy J. and Elise R. Morgan. She graduated from Willis High School in Delaware in 1949 and attended Ohio University in Athens. She loved working in her flower gardens and spending time with her family. She was a longtime member of the Worthington Seventh Day Adventist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Robert P. Swisher of Delaware; son, Robert A. (Susanne) Swisher of Farmersville; daughter, Kathleen Y. Pursley of Columbus; sisters, Betty (Fred) Hornsby of Delaware and Ann Manley of Waynesville; grandchildren, Mariesa M. (Matthew) Tinkham Jr. of Atlanta and Isaac M. Swisher of Farmersville; and nieces, nephews and extended relatives, as well as her church family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Roy E. Manley; and son-in-law, Richard R. Pursley.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, at the church located at 385 E. Dublin Granville Road, Worthington, where the family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Internment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Delaware.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Worthington Seventh Day Adventist Church School Building Fund, 385 E. Dublin Granville Road, Worthington, OH 43085.
