Vivian M. Swisher

Vivian M. Swisher, 81, passed away on Wednes­day (Oct. 31, 2012) at the Select Spe­cialty Hos­pi­tal in Columbus.

She is now sleep­ing in Christ await­ing his lit­eral Sec­ond Com­ing. She was born May 25, 1931, in Delaware to the late Roy J. and Elise R. Mor­gan. She grad­u­ated from Willis High School in Delaware in 1949 and attended Ohio Uni­ver­sity in Athens. She loved work­ing in her flower gar­dens and spend­ing time with her fam­ily. She was a long­time mem­ber of the Wor­thing­ton Sev­enth Day Adven­tist Church.

She is sur­vived by her hus­band of 61 years, Robert P. Swisher of Delaware; son, Robert A. (Susanne) Swisher of Farm­ersville; daugh­ter, Kath­leen Y. Purs­ley of Colum­bus; sis­ters, Betty (Fred) Hornsby of Delaware and Ann Man­ley of Way­nesville; grand­chil­dren, Mariesa M. (Matthew) Tin­kham Jr. of Atlanta and Isaac M. Swisher of Farm­ersville; and nieces, nephews and extended rel­a­tives, as well as her church fam­ily and many friends.

She was pre­ceded in death by her par­ents; brother-in-law, Roy E. Man­ley; and son-in-law, Richard R. Pursley.

Ser­vices will be held at 1:30 p.m. Mon­day, Nov. 5, at the church located at 385 E. Dublin Granville Road, Wor­thing­ton, where the fam­ily will receive friends two hours prior to the ser­vice. Intern­ment will fol­low at Oak Grove Ceme­tery in Delaware.
