Mcken­zie Hayes (left) and Eliz­a­beth Ida prac­tice jump rop­ing in uni­son dur­ing a Tues­day ses­sion of Schultz Ele­men­tary School’s Jump Rope Club. Mar­i­lyn Stew­ard, a teacher’s aide, con­ducts the pro­gram for grades three and four with the help of teach­ers and vol­un­teer par­ents. Stew­ard said the club sup­ple­ments the school’s phys­i­cal edu­ca­tion cur­ricu­lum and teaches the stu­dents a vari­ety of jump­ing techniques.
