Surprise serenade

Delaware Police Chief Bruce Pijanowski receives a Valentine’s Day sur­prise Thurs­day — a singing Valen­tine from mem­bers of the Hayes Singers from Hayes High School. Pijanowski’s wife, Pam, arranged the visit. The chief said it was a priv­i­lege to lis­ten to the stu­dents, whose per­for­mance was “breath­tak­ing. … It was amaz­ing to hear those voices.
