Educating children in an entertaining manner
George McArthur V, 24, of Delaware and formerly of Ostrander, passed away unexpectedly at Grady Memorial Hospital on Monday (March 14, 2011).
He was born on Oct. 11, 1986 in Delaware to George IV and Sallie (Cumberledge) McArthur. George was a 2005 graduate of Buckeye Valley High School. He worked for Donatos Pizza in Delaware and in the summer he worked for One on One Landscaping in Ostrander. He was a loving uncle, cousin and a free spirit who enjoyed life to the fullest and it showed in his smile and laughter. He was also an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and enjoyed bowling, rugby, playing pool and summer league baseball in Ostrander.
He is survived by his father, George McArthur IV; mother, Sallie McArthur; four sisters, Kandy Feaster, Karol (John) Lewis, Dawn (Chris) Chuck and Krissie Smalley; grandfather, Gary Cumberledge; uncle, John (Robin) Cumberledge; aunt, Sharon Long; and his best friend and companion, Jada.
George is preceded in death by his grandparents, George III and Carol McArthur.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 17, at the Rodman Neeper Funeral Home where a celebration of life service follows at 8 p.m.
