Carol Jewel Williams
Carol Jewel Williams, 72, of Delaware passed away on Wednesday (April 27, 2011) at the Memorial Hospital of Union County.
She was born Dec. 17, 1938 in Berwind, W.Va., to John and Pauline (Wallace) Isom. Carol retired from Dublin City Schools after working 25 years as a bus driver. She was a member of the Scioto Valley Christian Union Church, the Red Hat Society and the Euchre Club. Carol also was a Cub Scout troop leader and a Camp Fire Girls troop leader. She had a great love for children, cooking, baking and gardening.
She is survived by her three daughters, Cathy (Dale) Clark of Waldo, Linda Kay (Tom) Fraley of Ashley and Norma Jean Baker-Williams of Westerville; a son, Michael (Shelley) Williams of Sunbury; nine grandchildren; a brother, Jim Isom of Florida; two sisters. Susie Isom and Phyllis Reed both of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Laron Williams; and a sister, Cynthia Hale.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 2, at the Rodman Neeper Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 3, at the Scioto Valley Christian Union Church (5447 Riverside Dr. Delaware, OH, 43015) with burial to follow in Oller Cemetery.
