Hayes picked up a much-needed win Tuesday, scoring all four of its runs with two outs to edge visiting Watkins Memorial 4-1.

The Warriors scored the game’s first run via a solo homer in the third, but the Pacers (8-6, 3-3 OCC) responded with two runs in the fourth and two more in the fifth to seal the deal.

In the fourth, Austin Terry started things with a two-out walk, Jake South followed with a single and Colin Reed drove them in with a two-run knock — a hit proving to be the game-winner.

Hayes added some insurance in the fifth thanks to singles by Jacob Bosiokovic and Alex Rafeld.

Tyler Miller had one of his best outings of the season on the mound, picking up the win with six solid innings of work. He allowed just two hits while striking out eight and walking three. Bosiokovic earned the save, collecting the final three outs, two by strikeout.

The Barons collected some timely hits and Jason Shively pitched another gem to lead his squad to an MOAC win over the visiting Golden Knights Tuesday in Delaware.

Shively allowed just four hits while striking out five and walking one in his seven innings of work.

Offensively, the Barons (8-6, 4-1 MOAC), who scored a run in the second, two in the third and single tallies in the fourth and sixth innings, were led by Austin Doubikin, who had a triple and a run scored; A.J. Veach, who had a double; and the duo of Shively and Nick Sheehan, who had singles in the win.
