Christine Howard Stover, 78, of Prospect passed away early Friday morning (Oct. 21, 2011) at her residence.

She was born May 5, 1933 near Ashley to William and Mae Edwards Eckard. A lifelong area resident, she attended the Grace United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening and canning, and also flower gardening. In her younger years, she was employed in the PPG Accounting Department and was a rural mail carrier.

She is survived by her husband, Leo; sons, William (Vivian) Howard of Centerburg, James (Betty) Howard of Dover and Jason (Angela) Howard of Gahanna; great-grandsons, Jared and Drew Howard; and a sister, Fanny (Harold) Criswell of Prospect.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Basil Howard in 1992; four brothers; and six sisters.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Rodman Neeper Funeral Home, 1510 W. William St., Delaware, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday with her nephew Craig Henry officiating. Interment will follow in Berkshire Cemetery.
