Buckeye Valley’s been untouchable through the early stages of the Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference schedule, winning the MOAC Invitational earlier this month and, most recently, picking up an impressive 149-202 win over visiting North Union Wednesday at Mill Creek.

The Barons were led by medalist Clay Walter, who led all scorers with a 34 on the par 36 course. Other BV contributors included Adam Johnson, who had a 37; A.J. Veach, who closed with a 38; R.J. Oberle, who carded a 40; Austin Doubikin, who finished with a 44; and Nick Manning, who closed with a 45.

• Liberty carded another consistent round of golf Wednesday, finishing ninth in the Dublin Invitational with a team total of 305.

Jordan Callicotte led the way with a 72 while Tommy Fortunato (76), Nate Flahive (77) and Ryan Hall (80) also chipped in.

Olentangy was also in action, finishing 13th with a combined 328. Brave scorers included Jeff Dailey (75), Nick Morrison (81), Nathan Curtis (82) and Evan Wilson (90).

Dublin Coffman and Jerome tied for top honors, each finishing with team totals of 288.

GIRLS GOLF

Liberty led the trio of county schools in action at Wednesday’s second OCC clash, finishing second behind Dublin Jerome with a combined 357.

Hannah Flees led the Patriots with an 82 on the Raymond Memorial course, while Michelle Carney (89), Rachel Marks (93) and Natalie Durtschi (93) smoothed out the squad’s scoring.

Orange, which finished with a 396 to close 5th, was led by Sabrina Lewis’ 97. Other scorers included Brittany Stevens (98), Miranda Tomlinson (98)and Avery Clement (103).

Olentangy rounded out the standings with a seventh-place showing of 419. Scorers included Ashley Parker, who carded a 96; Brooke Stinnette, who finished with a 102; Taylor Dencer, who had a 103; and Christina Gioffre, who had a 116.
