Members of the City of Delaware ShadeTree Commission observed Arbor Day Friday with the annual tree planting at Bicentennial Park. This year’s tree, a Red Oak, was donated by The Arbors of Delaware. The city was recognized this year as having earned Tree City USA status for 30 consecutive years. The Arbor Day observance is one of several requirements for the program. The city’s Shade Tree Commission also recognized Willow Brook Christian Village at Delaware Run as this year’s recipient of the annual Beautification Award.
