Detectives arrest man in Lewis Center home invasion

Nancy K. Arnold, 72, of Delaware, died Monday (March 14, 2011) peacefully at her sister’s home after a lengthy courageous battle with cancer.

She was born April 24, 1938 in Delaware to Warren and Janet (Rae) Maxwell. She was a lifetime resident of Delaware County and graduated from Radnor High School in 1957. She was employed as a waitress at Swope’s Coffee Shop in the 1950’s and 60’s and spent her lifetime providing in-home child care. Nancy was a member of St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Nancy is survived by her daughter, Lori (James) Black; a son, Donald; two granddaughters, Isabella and Jessica Black; a sister, Sharon Maxwell; and a brother, Donald (Lois) Maxwell, all of Delaware; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold “Arch” in 2008 and a sister, Mary Milligan in 1995.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Robinson Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Thomas Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Radnor Cemetery.
