ODOT wants more details before agreeing to interchange plans

Hester Marie Thomas, 86, of Delaware, passed away Tuesday evening (Oct. 11, 2011) at the Sarah Moore Health Care Center.

She was born Feb. 18, 1925 in Mason Co., W.Va., to Jesse and Marie Woyan. She was a lifelong resident of Delaware, where she was resident manager for the Olentangy View Apartment Complex. She enjoyed traveling and camping, family time and especially her grandkids. She was affiliated with the United Methodist Church.

She is survived by daughters, Loretta (Dwayne) Gardner and Sharon (Gary) Huff, both of Delaware; son, Steven (Karen) Thomas of Marion; five grandchildren, Jeff (Adria) Warwick, Wendy (Kathy) Westwick, Stonya (Dave) Doty, Mellany (Parnell) Kelly and Robert Thomas; eight great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Lillian Warwick, Tyler and Nathan Doty, Jarrett and Jayden Westwick, Everett Sharp and Isabella Kelly; and two great-great-grandchildren Ayden and Maddox Stultz.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Junior.

Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, at the Rodman Neeper Funeral Home where services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday with interment to follow at Forest Grove Cemetery near Plain City. The family will then host a gathering of friends and relatives, following the committal service, at the Council For Older Adults.
