Star Lanes Polaris is offering a party for those who bowl a perfect game this Valentine’s weekend, and the type of party you get will depend on your relationship status.

“From Feb 14-17, people who are lucky in love that bowl a perfect game will win a complimentary wedding reception,” Romy Mehlman, vice president of marketing for Lucky Strike, the national chain which manages Star Lanes, told The Gazette. “Conversely, if you continue to strike out in relationships but bowl a perfect game will win an epic break up party.”

According to Lucky Strike, “Each event will take place at the Star Lanes location and consist of a three-hour reception in a VIP space, food and beverage package, complimentary bowling and a DJ for up to 50 guests.”

Among the fine print, the bowler must be 21 or older and cannot use bumpers. From the fifth to the tenth frame, an employee of Star Lanes must watch the bowler.

Mehlman said this is the first year for the promotion.

“Lucky Strike is a perfect date night spot, and we want to have a little bit of fun with this promotion,” she said. “Bowling is the most fun sport around, but it’s also tough like relationships, and we thought it would be a great way to give people an extra incentive to come in over Valentine’s weekend.”
