Low voter turnout seems to help ballot issues pass

Voter turnout for Tuesday’s elec­tion was par­tic­u­larly low and, accord­ing to the Delaware County Board of Elec­tions direc­tor, it might have helped the bond and levy issues pass.

Unidentified woman dies after being hit by train

A 45-year-old woman died around noon Thurs­day after being struck by a train near Trout­man Road. Delaware County Sheriff’s Office spokesper­son Tracy Whited said the death was an appar­ent suicide.

School bond issue approved
