Delaware County residents can be entertained while also raising funds for a good cause during the “Love4Lucas” community fundraiser Saturday. Lucas Alexander, 26, a 2005 graduate of Buckeye Valley High School, was recently diagnosed with lymphoma. Family members have joined together to organize both a Delaware State Park disc golf tournament and Final Score Sports Pub five-band concert benefit to raise funds for treatment of Alexander’s condition. Many individuals and businesses from Delaware County are participating, providing time, manpower, services and donations.

It turned out to be quite a week for the Delaware County Junior Fair Horse Show. The wet, muddy conditions due to the constant rain postponed and cancelled most horse show events throughout the fair week, although trail, reigning, pattern and versatility classes were able to squeeze in class competitions Tuesday and Thursday in the practice ring, north of the main ring on the fairgrounds.
