Hayes High School senior Audrey Mungovan knows for certain that she will major in education. What she isn’t sure about is if it will be elementary education, music education or as an environmental teacher.
Lindsey Adams leads with a quiet strength. The Big Walnut High School senior admits to being a little shy, but that hasn’t stopped her from taking on leadership roles. She’s president of student council, German Club, Leo Club and president of BW’s senior class.

Buckeye Valley senior Austin Hilt plays football, skis, is on the cross country and track teams. He plays trombone and drums. He knows how to throw a pot on the wheel. He volunteers at Grace Clinic and has worked in construction and as a life guard. With his varied interests and experiences, Austin is going in yet another new direction for his future — medical school.

With Christmas quickly approaching, one item that no family can overlook is the Christmas tree. While many have already crossed the annual tree off their to-do list, those still looking can choose from a wide selection of trees at the county’s various tree farms.
Buckeye Valley East Elementary students will present a Christmas program at 2:30 and 7 p.m. today at the school. Third grade students will present songs about snow and snowmen while fourth grade students will present a recorder recital in addition to an arrangement of the “Nutcracker Suite.”
