The Friends of the Delaware County District Library will hold another gigantic Bargain Book Fair this coming Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Delaware Main Library, 84 E. Winter St., and in conjunction with the Delaware Arts Festival. The Friends Book Fairs are truly a sight to see, with thousands of books, DVDs, videos, and magazines for adults, teens and children, well organized to make it easy to seek out just what you’re looking for.

The Delaware County District Library is offering four innovative and exciting programs for children and teens this week. The children’s staff at the Library are geniuses at developing programs that educate children in an entertaining way, helping them to hone their literacy and reading skills in a positive social environment. Even though it may look as if your kids are having a ball (and they are!), the programs presented by the Library staff are grounded in sound educational fundamentals.

I ran across an article the other day in The Rotarian magazine titled, The Truth About Fiction, and naturally I was intrigued.
The renovations at the Delaware County District Library’s Powell Branch are complete, and the transformation is dramatic and amazing! During the library’s levy campaign, we made a pledge to the community to upgrade the existing facilities, as well as to build the new Orange Branch. The renovations to the Powell Branch are a step in fulfilling our campaign promises.
