You gotta look for the good in the bad
Keeping it casual is OK.
In the wake of last week’s passage of not only the school bond, but of all three issues on the ballot, I found myself sharing hugs, congratulations, and excitement with friends throughout Delaware. As we discussed the victories, one of my friends remarked, “Isn’t it great to live in a community that has decided to take care of each other?” I found her observation to be both wise and true.
And now, a beast fiercer than Godzilla, more terrifying than Jaws — ladies and gents, I give you … Claws. But you can’t see this monster in theatres or on the Internet. You’ll have to stay up until midnight or so to see this one among an odd tableau of constellations in the south.
School is nearly over for the year, and you know what that means? It’s Summer Reading time at the Delaware County District Library!
One of the constant tasks of the gardener, pruning seems to cause confusion. Even long-time gardeners seem a bit put off by the pruning shears. Perhaps it is because we thrive on growth and loathe cutting back. Pruning is an old art. It gives shape, form, and flower to many of our garden plants. Learning to do it in the proper time will give more vigor and beauty to your plants.
My entire legal career has revolved around cases involving children. In the four years I was a prosecutor I prosecuted cases in juvenile court and many adult cases involving child victims. In the ten years that I have worked as a magistrate at the Juvenile Court I have spent nearly every day dealing with juveniles who have committed offenses (often against other juveniles) or adults who have abused or neglected their kids.
