Obama pressed to do more on jobs, stagnant wages

The nation’s slowly improv­ing jobs pic­ture hides prob­lems like stag­nant wages and fewer work­ing hours that strike directly at Pres­i­dent Barack Obama’s base of support.

The cupola was installed this week on Delaware city’s third fire station, under construction at 1320 W. Central Ave. The city ultimately plans to have a station in each quadrant of the city to reduce response times to emergencies. The existing stations are at 99 S. Study sets off immigration bill squabble

WASHINGTON — A bipar­ti­san Sen­ate immi­gra­tion bill would cost the gov­ern­ment a net $6.3 tril­lion over the next 50 years to pro­vide ben­e­fits for mil­lions of peo­ple now liv­ing in the U.S. ille­gally, the Her­itage Foun­da­tion said in a report Mon­day, set­ting off a fierce dis­pute with fel­low con­ser­v­a­tives who attacked the study as flawed and political.
