He volunteers at Grace Clinic and has worked in construction and as a life guard. With his varied interests and experiences, Austin is going in yet another new direction for his future — medical school.

Everyone has a dream, and Raechel Root is no different. The Olentangy High School senior’s ambition is to attend Columbia University, live in New York City, work as a copy editor for a publishing house and write her own fiction.

Senior year has gone by fast, concedes Big Walnut High School senior Ashley Meade. “It’s crazy. I remember walking into high school my freshman year and was told it would fly by fast. It did,” she said.

Born and raised in Texas, Demi Carr moved to Delaware in the fifth grade and into Buckeye Valley schools in the eighth grade. The Buckeye Valley senior said her last year at the school is already going by “way too fast.” She said while sometimes she is stressed out, she is excited for college.

David Tobin has attended Delaware Christian School (DCS) since kindergarten. “I can’t believe senior year is a quarter way over already,” he said. “I’m not sure if I’m here more or at home.”
