Simmonses observe 50th anniversary


Dan and Carol Simmons are observing their 50th wedding anniversary.


Dan and Carol Simmons will observe their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday, Dec. 4 at noon at Old Stone Presbyterian Church 41 Hodges Road, Delaware.

The couple was married Dec. 3, 1966, at that church, with Rev. Edgar Worstall officiating.

The couple has a son, Kurtis Lee Simmons of Delaware, and a daughter, Amanda Jean (Corey) Mays of Delaware, and five grandchildren.

Dan is retired having owned and operated Simmons Excavating & Enterprises, was a construction consultant and a project manager for Mays Consulting & Evaluation Services, Inc. and currently driving part time for By-Line Transit.

Carol is retired and was a bookeeper for Simmons Excavating & Enterprises, and currently is a part-time custodian for Old Stone Church.

The family requests no gifts.
