Summerfest will be on Aug. 22 in Galena, and organizers have announced the lineup of bands that perform at the annual festival that celebrates the village.

Matt Monta and the Haymakers will play at 1 p.m. on the main stage on the square. Monta is an Ohio musician who performs original music threaded by folk, blues and American rock influences. He’ll take the stage with a five-piece rock band called the Haymakers.

At 3:30 p.m., Fox Valley Harvest brings its Americana music to the stage. Fox Valley has toured with Mumford and Sons, performed at Farm Aid, and is recording an album in Nashville.

A favorite of past Summerfests, Pett Crow, will play at 6 p.m. The young blues rock band was the 2013 and 2014 grand champion winner of the Great Midwest Battle of the Bands.

Sean Carney rounds out the night, taking the stage at 8:30 p.m. The central Ohio bluesman who tours internationally is always a hit at Summerfest, organizers say. He won first place in the 2007 International Blues Challenge in Memphis.
