Delaware police report:

A man slapped a woman on the buttocks at an apartment on Tanglewood Drive Tuesday afternoon. The 21-year-old woman said the man was an acquaintance but the advance was accompanied by sexually charged statements and was unwanted. A sexual imposition report was taken by officers and an investigation is ongoing.

An officer spotted an unconscious man behind the wheel of a parked car Wednesday morning in the area of South Washington Street. The officer said he noticed the car because the driver’s door was open. He spoke to the man and found him to be intoxicated. The officer learned the car did not belong to the man and contacted the owner, who said he didn’t know the driver or give him permission to use the car. The driver was taken into custody for disorderly conduct while intoxicated and vehicle trespass. Police found several other items in the vehicle and determined the items had been taken from other unlocked vehicles in the area. The man was eventually taken to the Delaware County Jail and charged with multiple counts of theft, vehicle trespass and intoxication.

A 38-year-old man incarcerated at the police department flooded his cell Wednesday morning. Police said the man threatened officers and told them he would shoot them. He was charged with aggravated menacing.
