Delaware police report:

A man was reportedly stabbed during a fight in an alleyway in the area of East Central Avenue and Winter Street Tuesday afternoon. Officers said they received a call about the stabbing but no one was there by the time officers arrived. However, a short time later, a man checked himself into Grady Memorial Hospital with stab wounds. Police said the injuries were serious but not life-threatening.

Teachers at Dempsey Middle School reported a girl’s unruly behavior to the school resource officer Monday and informed him that the student has previously been disciplined for similar unruly conduct. A report was forwarded to Delaware County Juvenile Court.

An intoxicated man near 122 S. Sandusky St. Monday night was too drunk to take care of himself, officers said. He was released to a sober party. A few hours later, he was spotted walking on East William Street, still intoxicated. After a sober party could not be located, he was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct while intoxicated. He was held at the Delaware City Jail until he sobered up.

A teenager was taken to mental health professionals after she sent a suicidal text message to a friend Monday night. No charges were filed.
