Willis students get safety lessons

Mariah Collins finishes tying a sling around Chayani Contreras’ arm Tuesday afternoon at the Delaware County Fairgrounds during the Delaware County “Kids Safety Scenes.” Collins and Contreras are fifth-graders at Willis Intermediate School and visited stations from various emergency personnel to learn about different types of safety, including bike safety, water safety, fire safety and railroad safety. The event was hosted by the Delaware County Emergency Management Agency and Grady Memorial Hospital.
