At the April 20 board meeting of the Friends of the Delaware County District Library, Stella Dickman, outgoing president of the Friends of DCDL, presented George Needham, director of library district, with a check for $7,500. Needham accepted the check for the summer reading program. Children completing the summer reading program receive a reward of a new book of their own. The Friends raised these funds by holding several book fairs throughout the year at all four library locations.
