Delaware police report:

Officers spotted a man who was wanted on multiple arrest warrants in the area of 140 N. Sandusky St. Tuesday night. Police ordered the man and another man he was walking with to stop, but the men ran. Police pursued them and located the wanted man hiding in the rear yard of a home on West Central Avenue. Police said the man was in possession of hypodermic needles. The wanted man was charged with obstructing official police business and possession of drug abuse instruments. His friend was also arrested and charged with obstruction because he knew about the man’s warrants and encouraged him to flee from police. Both men were taken to the Delaware County Jail.

A couple was fighting at a home on Chelsea Street Tuesday night. Police said both parties sustained minor injuries but neither wanted to press charges. The situation was mediated and no charges were filed.

A neighborhood dispute was reported at a Curtis Street apartment complex Tuesday night. Officers learned that a dispute took place between several residents — adults and juveniles — over children playing on construction equipment in the complex. One resident, a juvenile, told officers that an adult made threats of violence during the dispute. Officers spoke to the adult and he acknowledged the threat, but said he never meant to carry it out. The adult was issued a citation for disorderly conduct and ordered to appear in Delaware Municipal Court.
