Deputies search for Lewis Center bank robber

The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man they say robbed a bank in Lewis Center Wednesday afternoon.

Deputies report Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. a white male entered the First Merit Bank on East Powell Road in Lewis Center and handed the teller a note, demanding cash. The teller complied and the man left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Officials said no one was physically harmed in the robbery.

Officials are urging residents to call the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office at 740-833-2800 with any information about the robbery.
