Deputies find, charge alleged bank robber

A man accused of robbing a bank in Lewis Center on Wednesday was arrested in Warren County Thursday night.

Capt. Kevin Savage of the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office said Friday that after the sheriff’s office released surveillance photos from Wednesday’s First Merit Bank robbery in Lewis Center, they received several tips that led detectives to Seth Kafoure, 35, of Columbus.

Savage said they then linked Kafoure to several other bank robberies, including one in New Albany on June 8 and another on Monday in Warren County.

Savage said Kafoure was arrested and charged with robbery by both Warren County and Delaware County sheriff’s deputies.

Savage said investigators are working to determine in which county Kafoure should be prosecuted. He also said the investigation is continuing.
