The 17th annual Corey Lehman Memorial Volleyball Tournament — held in memory of Corey Lehman and Steve Morgenstern and in honor of Erin Smith — will be on Monday, July 4, at Big Walnut High School in Sunbury.

The fundraising tournament will be played outdoors on grass courts. Players can enter one of three tournament divisions: Co-ed 6’s Power for players with medium to high experience; Co-ed 6’s BB is for players with medium experience; and Co-ed 6’s Recreational is for those interested in playing at a lower level of competition. All teams are to consist of a minimum of two females and a maximum of four males.

The cost to play is $25 per player, which includes a tournament T-shirt and a smoked pork loin lunch. The tournament location is outdoors on the grass between Big Walnut High School and Big Walnut Intermediate School.

Each year, the tournament provides scholarships for graduating Big Walnut High seniors.

All three divisions will start play at 9 a.m. with registration at 8:15 a.m. Organizers ask that everyone register and have team members there by 8:30 a.m. Teams may register early by emailing Janet Lehman at [email protected].

In case of inclement weather, the tournament may be canceled and entry fees will be refunded.

Call or email Lehman for tournament information and registration. Her phone numbers are 740-965-1292 (home) and 740-815-9465 (cellphone).
