Delaware police report:

A woman was hit with a crutch Wednesday night at a home in the 200 block of Chelsea Street. Police spoke to the woman who said she had been assaulted by her boyfriend during an argument over alcohol use. The woman told police her boyfriend struck her with his crutch during the argument. Police spoke to the man and found he was under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and charged with domestic violence, assault and disorderly conduct. He was then taken to the Delaware County Jail.

An officers spotted an adult female walking in the road on West Central Avenue near Lexington Boulevard Wednesday just before midnight. The officer stopped and asked if she was OK; he found that she may have been experiencing a behavioral health crisis. The officer transported her to Grady Memorial Hospital for a health evaluation after she said might harm herself. No charges were filed.

Police unlocked a car after a baby was accidentally locked inside Wednesday morning. Police were dispatched at 8:57 a.m. to a home on Trotter Circle to assist with an 18-month-old who was locked in a car with its air-conditioning on. Police report they assisted in opening the door and report the baby was not in any distress. No charges were filed.
