Project requests on city planners’ agenda

Delaware City Planning Commission will decide whether to approve requests for two different projects in the community at its regular meeting tonight.

Fed One Dublin LLC will request commission members to approve a combined preliminary and final development plan to construct a new building for Symmetry II, 105 Innovation Court, on about 7.2 acres of property, according to the meeting agenda.

Fed One Dublin is a Plain City-based general contractor and real estate developer serving the business community since 1993. The company built the 306,500 square-foot manufacturing plant for Associated Hygienic Products, which opened in 2007 at 2332 U.S. 42 in Delaware.

Information about the Symmetry II building was not available.

If approved, the building would be among other projects at Innovation Court, which is part of the Sawmill Parkway extension to U.S. 42, according to previous reports from The Gazette. Delaware County commissioners approved a $30.4 million contract with Delaware-based Trucco Construction Co. to perform the work to extend the roadway from its current terminus at Hyatts Road to 1,600 feet north of U.S. 42.

The extension project may expand to connect to Section Line Road. It’s expected to be completed by Oct. 31.

The commission will also discuss three requests from Pulte Homes for one of the two subdivisions on the city’s southeast side that City Council approved final development plans in late January, according to prior Gazette reports.

The requests pertain to the Communities at Glenross sections 11-22, about 210.7 acres that contain about 487 single family-zoned lots located south of Cheshire Road.

Pulte Homes’ requests approval for the following: a rezoning amendment to the development text; amendment to the preliminary development plan; and an amendment to the preliminary subdivision plat.

Further information about both projects were not available.

The commission will gather at City Council Chambers, 1 S. Sandusky St., at 7 p.m. today for the meeting.
