Crews begin work on Woodward Elementary

Construction crews work on Delaware’s Woodward Elementary School Tuesday morning after the school board approved funding construction Monday night. Construction crews had previously been at Woodward to tear up the old playgrounds and trailers where the building’s expansion will be. The addition will support the incoming fifth-grade class and will house new classrooms and a dedicated gym. Woodward will also have improvements made to its drop-off area and parking lot. The new school is projected to open by the start of the 2017-18 school year.
