Delaware man indicted in rape case

A Delaware man was indicted on five counts of rape and a charge of gross sexual imposition Friday by a Delaware County grand jury in connection with a series of incidents.

Charles Frederick Ingram, of 171 Fair Ave., Delaware, was charged with five counts of rape, which are first-degree felonies, and one charge of gross sexual imposition, a fourth-degree felony. Delaware police report that they received a call last week from Nationwide Children’s Hospital as they were treating a juvenile for sexual assault.

The indictment alleges that between Jan. 18 and July 18, Ingram sexually assaulted a juvenile at least three times.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

The following individuals were also indicted by the grand jury:

• Larry J. Brewer, of Columbus, receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony. An arraignment in Delaware County Common Pleas Court has been set for Aug. 19 at 10 a.m.

• Angel A. Medina, of Columbus, unauthorized use of property, a fifth-degree felony. An arraignment in Delaware County Common Pleas Court has been set for Sept. 7 at 8:30 a.m.

• George D. Lease Jr., of Marion, theft, a fifth-degree felony. An arraignment in Delaware County Common Pleas Court has been set for Aug. 19 at 10 a.m.

• Scott A. Alkire, of Radnor, on two counts of domestic violence, which are fourth-degree felonies. An arraignment in Delaware County Common Pleas Court has been set for Sept. 7 at 8:45 a.m.

• Robert R. Mayes, II, of 143 S. Towne Lane, Delaware, on two felony counts of failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer; and one charge of receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony. An arraignment in Delaware County Common Pleas Court has been set for July 26 at 8:30 a.m.

• Hank B. Radcliff, of 15 N. Liberty St., Apt. 1, Delaware, on three counts of theft, which are fifth-degree felonies. An arraignment in Delaware County Common Pleas Court has been set for Aug. 19 at 10 a.m.
