Willis students learn to drum a new beat


Students participated in a drum circle practice Tuesday morning at Willis Intermediate School as part of “The Lion King” drama camp. During the week-long camp, students will learn to drum, dance and sing parts of “The Lion King.” The students involved in the drum circle Tuesday were led by instructor Katie Thompson, who taught the students how to play in harmony and gave students new rhythms and beats to play. The drummers will perform with the singers and dancers on Friday.
