Condit Presbyterian hosting community feast

Not too many year’s ago, Condit Presbyterian Church held an annual smorgasbord. The event seemed to slowly fade away and then disappeared altogether, but many area folks have missed it.

It won’t be a smorgasbord, but Condit Presbyterian is resurrecting a community meal that organizers hope will become an annual event – the Condit Community Feast.

The inaugural Condit Community Feast will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Condit Presbyterian Church fellowship hall.

“Although this is the first Condit Community Feast, it has long been a tradition to go to Condit the first Saturday in October for a great home-cooked meal,” said Polly Horn, chair of the Condit Presbyterian communications committee. “This year the great cooks of Condit will be serving barbecued pulled pork as well as chicken and noodles as main entrées.”

Horn said side dishes, salads and homemade desserts will round out the meal.

Sponsored by the Congregational Life Committee, the all-you-can-eat meal will cost $7 for adults and $5 for children.

Condit Presbyterian Church is at 15102 Hartford Road at the State Route 605 intersection.
