Man indicted for Lewis Center bank robbery from June

A Delaware County Grand Jury has returned a four-­count indictment against a 36-­year-­old man accused of robbing the First Merit Bank in Lewis Center in June of this year.

Seth P. Kafoure, was indicted Friday and charged with two counts of robbery, second-degree felonies and two counts of theft, a fifth-degree felony and a first-degree misdemeanor.

Prosecutors said that on June 15, 2016 deputies responded to a robbery in progress call from First Merit Bank in Lewis Center.

“A man presented a note demanding cash to a teller,” said Delaware County Prosecutor Carol O’Brien. “The man, who received money from the employee, was caught on surveillance video.” Prosecutors said the indictment also includes charges related to a June 8, 2016, Huntington Bank robbery in New Albany.

Kafoure is already in prison from charges relating to the June 10, 2016 robbery of a 5/3 Bank in Warren County, Ohio. An arraignment date in Delaware County has not yet been set.

The following individuals were indicted by the grand jury:

Richard L. Piper, of Sunbury, on a count of nonsupport or contributing to nonsupport of dependents, a fifth-degree felony.

Paul E. George, of Cleveland, on two counts of nonsupport or contributing to nonsupport of dependents, fifth-degree felonies.

Kristian J. Parker, of Columbus, on a count of theft, a fifth-degree felony.

Erin C. Stambaugh, of Columbus, on a count of theft, a fifth-degree felony.

Seth E. Wilkins, of Columbus, on three counts of forgery, fifth-degree felonies and three counts of theft, first-degree misdemeanors.

Brenda J. Fletcher, of 77 Park Avenue, Delaware, on a count of perjury, a third-degree felony, two counts of worker’s compensation fraud, fourth-degree felonies and a count of theft, a fourth-degree felony.

Alice R. Howard, of Sunbury, on a count of theft, a fifth-degree felony.

Jesse J. Ervin, of Mount Vernon, on a count of breaking and entering and a count of theft, fifth-degree felonies.

Peter W. Nelson, of Columbus, on three counts of operating vehicle under the influence of alcohol, fourth-degree felonies and one count of driving under ovi suspension, a first-degree misdemeanor.

Brian K. Vanderpool, of Galloway, on three counts of theft, two fifth-degree felonies and one first-degree misdemeanor.

John R. E. Adams, at large, on a count of theft, a fifth-degree felony.

Zackery S. Herald, of Columbus, on a count of theft, a fifth-degree felony.

Brandon S. Whitt, on a count of receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony.

Keith P. McCann, of 406 Western Dreamer Drive, Delaware, on a count of domestic violence and a count of menacing by stalking, fourth-degree felonies.
